About
A small practice,
built around one idea.
That marketing should be answerable. If we can't show you what a month of work produced, we haven't done the work properly.
01 / Why
Both sides of the table
Six years in digital marketing, and the order they came in matters.
The first stretch was agency-side, as a marketing strategist working across a range that ran from small e-commerce start-ups to ASX- and NASDAQ-listed companies. Different budgets, same reporting habits — and a close view of how the monthly deck gets assembled.
Since then it's been in-house at a large Australian consumer brand, on the receiving end of that reporting rather than producing it. Sitting in the client's chair changes what you notice. You stop reading the impressions slide. You start asking which line in the report connects to revenue, and how often the honest answer is that nobody has worked it out.
Lonsdale Marketing exists because that answer should be easy. Agree the number that matters before the work starts, report against it plainly, and move budget away from whatever isn't earning. Harder to sell than a deck full of charts. Considerably more useful.
02 / How
How we work
Deliberately small, and staying that way. You deal directly with the person doing the work — no account manager relaying messages, no junior quietly inheriting your campaigns three months in.
- Fixed scope and a written target agreed before anything goes live
- One monthly report in plain English, not a dashboard login
- No lock-in contracts — if it isn't working you should be able to leave
- You own your accounts, your domain and your data, including if you leave
- We'll tell you when a channel isn't worth your spend, including ours
A small practice takes on a limited number of clients at a time. If we're at capacity we'll say so rather than stretch and do it badly.
03 / Background

Enterprise marketing discipline applied at small-business scale. The measurement rigour is the same; the difference is you get it without the enterprise overhead.
